Co-Curricular Activities

Macarthur has a range of activities outside the classroom that are designed to develop the whole student.  This is very common in Australia and students who want to study in Australia should expect to be involved in some activities outside the classroom. The Australian education system seeks to develop students into young adults who can interact in the community in many different ways.

At Macarthur, it is a condition of enrolment to attend the annual camp, Chapel, sport every week and house groups.  These are designed to develop character, determination and perseverance.

Many students are involved in some of the optional activities.  Students can be included in the Choir, Orchestra, Band, annual musicals, Duke of Edingburgh Award, Outdoor Education Programme, Community Service Programme, Agriculture team, Robotics, university mentoring programme Socrates and many more.

Each year, Senior School students also have the opportunity to travel overseas on one of many overseas tours.  These include New Zealand, Thailand, Europe and musical tours.
