Macarthur Alumni Association

AlumniThe Macarthur Alumni Association was established in 2007. It is open to all former students of Macarthur. The Association has three major aims:
  • to build a sense of community among the former students of the School
  • to keep former students informed of the activities and ongoing development of Macarthur
  • to provide a conduit for former students to support the work of Macarthur

Life Membership


Life membership of the Alumni Association is available to any member of the Alumni. The funds raised through the Life Memberships will be used to support Alumni Bursaries offered to the children of former students entering Year 11 which will commence in 2009.

The Work of the Alumni Association


The Alumni Association supports several projects and organises a number of Alumni events each year. Events of the Association are planned and organised by the volunteer who make up the Alumni Steering Committee. In 2009 the members of this committee are: Alison Jennings (Year 12, 1996) Peter Buckley (Year 12, 1997) Elissa Gale (nee White Year 12,1998). Any one wishing to volunteer to join the Committee should contact Judith White, Director of Advancment on alumni@mas.nsw.edu.au

Alumni Garden Project


The Alumni Garden Project will provide a link between the Alumni of Macarthur and the School, and help to provide a beautiful, shaded seating area for current students. Former students can purchase named pavers to be laid in the Alumni Garden and attached paths. The cost of purchase of these pavers is tax deductible.

Alumni Family Fun Day


The 2008 Alumni Family Fun Day will be held on Saturday 15 November, 2008. Alumni and former families are invited to join in the fun of the day which will include games, children's activities like face painting, colouring competitions and a jumping castle, a bar-b-que and the opportunity to catch up with old friends in a relaxed afternoon at Cobbitty.



Beyond the Tartan


Beyond the Tartan is a quarterly email newsletter produced just for Alumni. It will keep you in touch with upcoming Alumni events and provide a brief regular link to the Alumni Association.
