Christian Education

Biblical Studies lessons for Years 5 to 9 are designed to give students an understanding of Christianity. Biblical Studies is part of the curriculum and is assessed from Year 7 to Year 9 with examinations and assignments as with any other academic subject.

There is a Bible reading and prayer during the regular Tutor Group time, when small groups of students meet with their Tutor. This is designed to give students an increased understanding of God's Word through hearing it each day.

Chapel services give the opportunity to participate in Christian worship. These activities are part of the life at Macarthur for all students. The students often have input in the organisation and leading of Chapel services. There are no exemptions from participation.

OASIS (Crusaders) a voluntary organisation which meets each week, allows Christian study and discussion.

The support of parents for the Christian Education programme of the school is a fundamental expectation.
