Middle School Uniform

Year 5 to Year 9


Boys Summer Uniform
• Khaki shorts and shirt (with emblem on pocket), Khaki socks with school stripes.
• House hat for sport, and during recess and lunchtime but NOT to and from School.
• On cooler days the blazer may be worn. The jumper must NOT be worn without the blazer to and from School.

Boys Winter Uniform
• Mid grey trousers, black belt, short mid grey socks, white long sleeved shirt, Macarthur tartan tie, bottle green v-necked jumper with gold stripes, blazer.
• The blazer is to be worn to and from School during Autumn Term and Winter Term. The jumper must NOT be worn without the blazer to and from School.

Girls Summer Uniform
• Macarthur tartan dress which should touch the floor when kneeling, short white socks with stripe.
• House hat for sport, and during recess and lunchtime but NOT to and from School.
• On cooler days the blazer may be worn. The jumper must NOT be worn without the blazer to and from School.

Girls Winter Uniform
• Macarthur tartan pinafore dress which should touch the floor when kneeling, long sleeved white blouse with frilled peter pan collar, bottle green v-necked jumper, beige opaque tights, blazer.
• The blazer is to be worn to and from School during Autumn Term and Winter Term. The jumper must NOT be worn without the blazer to and from School.

Shoes: Boys and Girls - Black leather regulation lace-up shoes eg Clarks or similar. Doc Marten shoes (not boots) are acceptable but they must be plain with no coloured stitching or other decoration such as buckles.

Hair Ribbons and Headbands: These may be black, yellow, bottle green, or Macarthur tartan. Scrunchies in Macarthur tartan material are available from the Uniform Shop.

School Back Packs: Black back packs with the school crest are available from the Uniform Shop and are part of the school uniform for all years. Other back packs or bags are not acceptable.

Sports Bags: Sports bags are available from the Uniform Shop and are part of the school sports uniform. These may be used on days other than sports days when extra carrying space is needed. Other bags are not acceptable.

Raincoats and Umbrellas: Raincoats may be black, grey, dark green or clear, nylon or plastic. Umbrellas should be black or dark green.

Overcoats, Scarves and Gloves: Colour black. While overcoats are not a compulsory part of the uniform, students choosing to wear them must purchase them from the Uniform Shop. The overcoat can be worn over a school blazer, not instead of one, in very cold weather. Only black scarves with School motif can be worn with the uniform and these are available through the Uniform Shop.

Note: Whenever a Macarthur student wears the uniform in public (eg travelling to and from School, shopping with parents etc. Failure to wear the uniform correctly at any time brings discredit to the School and to the students concerned and will not be tolerated.

Middle School Sport Uniform

To be worn for all PE lessons and during School Sport


Boys:
• School white sport shirt and black shorts, white socks with school stripe.
• School tracksuit.
• School football socks to be worn only when participating in football, soccer, softball or hockey games.
• A house hat is compulsory during Spring Term and Summer Term and is recommended for Autumn Term and Winter Term but should not be worn to and from School.

Girls:
• School white sport shirt with green skirt or black shorts, white socks with school stripe. Green or black sports briefs should be worn under skirts (short legged green or black bike pants are permitted).
• School tracksuit.
• School football socks to be worn only when participating in soccer, softball, touch football or hockey games.
• A House hat is compulsory during Spring Term and Summer Term and is recommended for Autumn Term and Winter Term but should not be worn to and from School.

Shoes: Predominantly white, lace up sport shoes.

Swimming Costumes: Girls: For School Swimming Carnivals, black swimmers one piece and black board shorts (optional) must be worn.
Boys: For School Swimming Carnivals black racing style costume or board shorts are to be worn.

For Representative Carnivals School Swimming Costumes must be worn.

Note: While it is not compulsory, the School sport uniform may be worn to and from school on Sport Days only and by students participating in day long carnivals as specified by the Sport Co ordinator. House T-shirts and other coloured clothing must only be worn at School, never to and from School on public transport.
