Rowing

Macarthur has had a rowing programme for several years with crews competing in regattas since 2005.  Over the last few seasons the School’s Rowing Programme has had great success with students making the finals of CIS Schoolboys and Schoolgirls Head of the River as well as NSW State Championships.  We have also had success at interstate Independent School Regattas.  The 2010/11 Rowing season was Macarthur’s most successful season to date with crews winning 7 races in both the School Boy and School Girl Regattas.

The Macarthur Rowing Programme conducts its on water training at the Sydney International Regatta Centre (SIRC) Penrith, the venue of 2000 Olympic Games an incredible international facility for our rowers to train at.  This venue is also being used for the 2013 National Championships as well as the World Rowing Championships in 2013.  It is expected that Macarthur will have a number of School Boys and School Girls rowers compete at the 2013 National Championships.
