The Aristotle Programme is a collaborative learning programme for gifted and talented students in Year 8. The programme has a deep learning approach with a sustained focus on effective thought processes and learning.
Students participate in a series of fun collaborative deep thinking challenges and activities related to a different theme each year. The group meets once per week for two terms and connects in an ongoing capacity with peers and staff via a collaborative Google Document. Aristotle participants also work individually or in groups on a personal project related to the chosen theme. The programme culminates in a showcase of students work at the end of Summer Term.
Students who participate in the Aristotle project gain valuable skills such as higher order thinking skills, collaborative learning, peer evaluation and self-reflection skills.
