Scholarships at Macarthur

Scholarship Applications for 2020 will open in October 2018.

Each year Macarthur offers a number of Academic and Music scholarships to students entering Year 7, Year 9 and Year 11 in the following calendar year. These are awarded on merit, based on the results of independent testing by Academic Assessment Services and a portfolio of significant achievements.

This testing is usually held on a Saturday in early March each year. Applicants for a Music Scholarship will also be expected to attend this testing date and an audition at a date close to this time. Scholarship applications usually open in October each year and close in early March each year.

As well as the Scholarship Examination results (and auditions for Music Scholarship applicants), the Headmaster will consider a portfolio of supporting material such as school reports, NAPLAN test results, results from statewide or national competitions and other relevant information. Candidates who are not current Macarthur students will be asked to supply a portfolio of information for consideration after registering for the scholarship examination.

Scholarships are awarded at various levels of discount in tuition fees based on academic merit.
